Leica I, including lens + Everready

This Leica was manufactured in 1931 as a Leica I (Model C) and was later upgraded to a Leica II by its owner. The camera and the 50-mm Elmar f/3.5 have been together for nearly a century, preserved in their original—and now rare—carrying case. Passed down from one careful owner to the next, it most recently came from the collection of a passionate Leica collector in Virginia. Fully functional, in original condition.

We know what it means to create a companion for life—handcrafted in our workshop, made to be passed down. Sign up for our newsletter and you’ll automatically be entered into the drawing. As a welcome gift, you’ll also receive an additional 10% off your first order.

Oberwerth

Craftsmanship That Endures

Since its founding in Koblenz, Oberwerth has been guided by a single conviction: A camera deserves protection that lasts a lifetime. Each of our bags, half cases, and straps is handcrafted in our workshop from the finest European leathers—in small batches, with meticulous attention to every detail. Over the years, the leather develops its own patina, becoming your very own personal companion.

The fact that a Leica from 1931 is still in use today is no coincidence. It is the result of materials and craftsmanship built to last a lifetime. It is precisely this standard that guides us in everything we create.
