The Richard 2 (The SL Bag® Large) from Oberwerth is a high-quality camera bag for photographers who value style, protection and sophisticated functionality. It was developed to fit the Leica SL, SL2 and SL3 perfectly, but is also ideal for mirrorless or DSLR cameras from other brands - including lenses, accessories and laptop.
Inside, the bag offers sufficient space for a camera with up to two lenses, including larger zooms such as a 90-280 mm, a charger, cables, smartphone and a 16" MacBook. Two variable divider pads allow flexible and secure organization of the equipment. The bright red inner lining makes it easier to find small items quickly.
The leather used in the Hydro version is vegetable-tanned and hydrophobized - making it water-repellent, velvety soft to the touch and particularly durable. Over time, it develops a patina full of character, making each bag unique. Additional outer compartments on the front, sides and back offer practical storage space for additional accessories or personal items.
A wide, adjustable shoulder strap and a trolley attachment function ensure a high level of carrying comfort - even when traveling. Robust metal feet on the underside reliably protect the bag when it is put down.

For the Hydro Verison of the SL Bag® Large, we use hand-picked, vegetable-tanned leather that is hydrophobized in an elaborate process. This special finish gives the leather water-repellent properties so that rain gently rolls off - just like a lotus leaf.
Despite this protective layer, the natural structure and breathability of the leather is completely retained. Over time, it develops an unmistakable, elegant patina that makes your bag a unique companion. Every touch reveals the velvety soft, non-slip feel that connoisseurs immediately recognize as Oberwerth quality.

No. Although the SL Bag® Large was developed specifically for the Leica SL, SL2 and SL3, it also fits cameras of a similar size from other manufacturers perfectly. Thanks to its spacious, intelligently divided interior, there is also plenty of room for larger accessories such as lenses, chargers or a 16" MacBook.
Water-repellent leather is finished in a special water-repellent process. Rain rolls off like a lotus leaf, while the natural structure and breathability of the leather are retained. For care, we recommend our Hydro Plus Organic, specially developed for the Hydro Line.
Yes - as with all Oberwerth bags, we offer a lifetime warranty (after product registration). This ensures that you can enjoy your bag for many years to come and that you are well protected in the rare event of a defect.
As a rule, the bag will arrive within a few days anywhere in the world. If, contrary to expectations, you are not completely satisfied, you can return the bag within the statutory returns period - you can find more information in our returns policy.
