Full-grain leather is one of the highest quality grades of leather. Oberwerth only uses first-class raw hides from Central Europe, which are tanned in an environmentally friendly process without hazardous chrome. The decisive factor, however, is the subsequent finishing: a carefully coordinated semi-aniline dyeing process that gives the leather its special balance of authentic appearance, protection and suitability for everyday use.
The characteristic grain, fine pores and individual features of the skin remain visible and must not be concealed by strong pigmentation. At the same time, a subtle surface finish ensures greater stability and durability in daily use. Additional manual fulling gives the leather its particularly soft, luxurious feel and characterful touch.
