Half a year for a single shade
It all started with a wish that kept coming back to us: that warm cognac that once characterized classic camera accessories: a tone that you don't forget once you've held it in your hand.
Together with a small, family-run tannery in Tuscany, we set out in search of it. We spent six months refining the recipe in a slow, purely vegetable tanning process that gives the cowhide its warm depth, character and special feel. Not a quick process - but the only one that leads to this result.
This is how the Cognac series was created: the Louis camera bag, the matching Mosel camera strap and two TagCases for the Leica Q3 and M11. Four pieces, one color. And a leather that becomes more beautiful with every year.

The bag, strap and the two Half Cases / TagCases are made from the same vegetable-tanned leather in the same warm cognac shade. Every piece is made by hand in our manufactory: even seams, neatly finished edges, precisely fitting fasteners. None of this pushes itself to the fore and that is exactly what we aim for.
