Production at Oberwerth combines traditional craftsmanship with modern standards of quality and sustainability. In our specialized manufactory, the bags are created piece by piece, made by experienced fine seamstresses who perform their craft with dedication and the utmost precision. Every seam, every cut and every detail follows a clear principle: perfection down to the smallest detail. We only use materials from responsible sources, vegetable-tanned leather, robust fabrics and fine metal fittings that stand for durability and aesthetics. Short delivery routes, fair working conditions and resource-conserving processing are a matter of course for us.

Variety in perfection - our leather types at a glance
At Oberwerth, passion meets diversity: we offer a selection of exclusive leather types, each with its own character and technical sophistication. Our Classic & Signature Line impresses with vegetable-tanned, open-pored natural leather - pure, breathable and capable of development with an authentic patina. The Casual Line stands for strong, full-grain cowhide with light pigmentation, robust, warm to the touch and particularly high-quality. For increased water resistance, we use hydrophobized leather in the Hydro Line, which breathes like normal leather but dries faster and shows fewer stains. The Vintage Line offers a distinctive used look with vintage charm thanks to through-dyed cowhide with special pigmentation. Our Soft Leather variant stands for incomparable softness - a butter-soft cowhide with a fine finish. The Luxury Line rounds off the range with elegant calfskin quality that strikes a balance between softness and durability thanks to double tanning. In addition, we are focusing on innovation with ReLon®: a fully recycled material with a textile look as a sustainable alternative.
