In the past, leather was traditionally protected from water by greasing and chemically impregnated before use. Our hydrophobized leather, on the other hand, undergoes an advanced tanning process that naturally ensures long-lasting water resistance.
This technology, once reserved for rugged boots, has now been refined using state-of-the-art processes to create an elegant, lightweight and high-quality leather. Thanks to its hydrophobicity, it dries quickly and ensures efficient heat regulation.
Although there may be slight discoloration on clothing when exposed to high heat or humidity, this will disappear over time and is usually easy to remove in the washing machine.

Over the years, the hydrophobic leather gets its own patina and becomes your very personal companion. Since the leather continues to retain its natural breathability and structure despite hydrophobing, it may lead to slight color release under certain circumstances if the bag is exposed to high humidity, for example. This is in no way to be understood as a defect but distinguishes the hydrophobized leather as high quality and natural. Completely made of velvety soft German cowhide, GEORGE is not only casual and cool in design but also well-thought-out down to the last detail. Thanks to the vertical format, the heavy camera can be placed upright in the pocket and is thus always ready to hand for the next snapshot. The soft leather shoulder pad and the low center of gravity ensure a secure and comfortable grip on the shoulder. The shoulder strap made of close-meshed sewn cotton is cut-proof and adjustable in length. The soft, tumbled leather adapts ergonomically to the shape of the body and ensures maximum comfort – even when packed.
Under the leather flap, hidden from unwanted access, there is a front pocket for batteries, memory cards or simply passport and smartphone. The two-step, adjustable LOXX® fastening system protects your valuable interior and allows you to adjust the bag's volume.
The sides of the bag are padded and protect the camera and lens from shocks and other impacts. GEORGE is supplied with an additional inner pad, which can be placed individually via Velcro. This means that the interior layout can be freely arranged according to the personal camera equipment.

The Sling Bag's spacious main compartment offers enough room for a large system camera such as a Leica SL3 or Hasselblad X2D etc. Depending on the model even with telephoto lens! (For exact dimensions of the interior, please refer to the table below). The bag is well padded and protects your camera from environmental influences as well as bumps and scratches.
Framed by high quality zippers from Germany, the flap of the main compartment opens towards the body and gives you direct access and control over your equipment without anything falling out. The two large, freely adjustable divider pads inside give you the flexibility to divide the bag according to your needs. RICHARD 2 is the largest bag in our CASUAL line and is perfect for carrying comprehensive equipment.
